Overview

Swerve is a top-down racing game. After picking cars, the race takes place in one of many major European cities. The game has a unique motion blur effect that gives the player a nice sensation of speed. It also has a nice physics engine, which lets players drift and slide around turns. Players can also slam into each other, or even try to perform a PIT maneuver.

The game does not have an online master server, so the online player will have to find opponents the hard way.

Impressions

This is a difficult but fun racing game. The physics engine makes the game interesting. The graphics are very pretty, especially for a top-down game, and the motion blur is cool, although it may give you a headache if you play too long (it can be turned off). The game also include a pretty nifty soundtrack. It's very easy to set up for a LAN game.

I haven't played much multiplayer yet, but so far I think it would be a good game to play at a LAN party.
